McCain, your fundamental lack of understanding is dangerous!
Senator McCain, in tonight’s first Presidental debate of the 2008 election you raised many points about a fundamental lack of understanding, but you left one out. You professed your willingness to throw money into fighting terrorism and made inflamatory comments about foreign leaders and powers demonstrating a fundamental lack of understanding of how to conduct ones self in an era of global citizenship. Further you demonstrate a fundamental lack of understanding the nature of terrorism, the lack of understanding makes you unqualified to lead a war on terrorism.
You fail to understand that terrorism unlike traditional wars of resources is not a zero sum conflict both sides lose, there is nothing to gain, and further you fail to understand that terrorism, a war based on ideals is not conquerable through force. Terrorism exists because one group fundamentally hates another group, in the case of the current nature of terror, that hatred stems from a view that our country is a global menace. Of all forms of idealogy this is one that is not eliminated by shows of strength, rather it reinforces the idea.
Your tendency to agressive behavior, your willingness to throw might and money at the issue, and your dismissive attitude to foreign entities and their leaders makes you dangerous. Your postitions are diplomatically, and economically irresponsible, problems are not resolved by treating the symptoms, they are resolved by identifying and then treating the root cause. Your fundamental lack of understanding is detrimental to our country and to the world, it makes you unqualified to be President of the United States of America.
